Western Sydney Airport

Request for information for Integrated Logistics Hub Airfreight Interface Concept

Sydney’s new 24/7 curfew-free Western Sydney ‘Nancy-Bird Walton’ International Airport (WSI) and its dedicated WSI Cargo Precinct is planned to be operational by 2026.

The first flights will start from the curfew-free WSI Airport in 2026, with cargo aboard including fresh and value-added produce, pharmaceuticals, and high value manufacturing components.

Deloitte was commissioned by the Western Parkland City Authority (WPCA) to prepare the Integrated Logistics Hub (ILH) Airfreight Interface Concept Study (September, 2021). It builds on the Integrated Logistics Hub Scoping Study (July, 2020) that sought to understand and scope the opportunity to transform Western Sydney into a global freight and logistics powerhouse.

The WPCA is sharing this concept to stimulate private sector activity, and has opened a Request for Information process.

Interested parties, from industry to landowners to developers and investors, are invited to share their ideas on how they can help to bring the ILH Airfreight Interface Concept to life.
