Moldova’s agricultural credit program surpasses €10M

Since March 1, 2025, Moldova's Agricultural Credit Program (FCA) has supported 203 agricultural enterprises, with total financing reaching 201.78 million lei (€10.3 million), according to Logos Press.

In October alone, 49 enterprises received funding totaling approximately 44.24 million lei (€2.25 million). Most projects focused on purchasing equipment for post-harvest processing and sustainable agriculture.

Through the FCA, entrepreneurs can obtain loans in Moldovan lei at a fixed annual rate of 5.1% with repayment terms of up to five years. Additionally, the program provides grants of up to 30% of the financed amount and offers financial guarantees through the ODA fund.

The program targets micro- and small agricultural enterprises and runs for five years from March 2025. Farmers can also use the loans to replenish working capital.

Of the total funding, €1.21 million represents non-repayable grants, including €157,000 allocated in October. Remaining funds available under the FCA include approximately €8.5 million for loans and €1.63 million for grants.

The FCA is implemented by the Moldovan government in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Industry, the Ministry of Finance, and the External Assistance Program Management Unit (OGPAE) through participating financial institutions.
