Pingxiang is the largest and most convenient land route from China to Vietnam and Southeast Asia, as well as the largest port for fruit import and export trade between China and ASEA. Trucks loaded with imported fruit including durian, passion fruit, dragon fruit and jackfruit from the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) have been passing through customs daily at Youyi Port in Pingxiang City, in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.
Imported fruit passing through Pingxiang's Youyi Port alone reached 643,4000 tons in the first quarter of 2023, up 246% year-on-year. Youyi Port Customs has supervised the import of 61,000 tons of durians, with a year-on-year increase of 633.6 percent, accounting　for 96 percent of Guangxi and 66.3 percent of China. Durians and other Southeast Asian fruits are being transported from Guangxi to markets across China.
