The following are some of the conclusions drawn from the report:

Mandarins

  • The harvests promoted by farmers rose by 4.03%, while retailers' harvest searches declined by 3.24% compared to the previous season.
  • The three most frequently offered varieties are Clemenules, Clemenvilla, and Ortanique.
  • The three most popular varieties among traders are Clemenules, Tango, and Clemenvilla.
  • The three varieties with the biggest increase in offerings are Clemenvilla, Tango, and Nadorcott.
  • The varieties with the biggest increase in searches are Hernandina, Nadorcott, and Leanri.

Oranges

  • The number of harvests published by farmers increased by 8.48% and retailer searches for harvests decreased by 24.87% over the previous season.
  • The three most frequently offered varieties are Navelina, Navel Lane Late, and Valencia Late.
  • Traders mainly searched for Navelina, Navel Lane Late, and Navel Foyos.
  • Valencia Midknight, Valencia Late, and Navelina were the three varieties with the biggest increase in offerings.
  • The varieties with the biggest increase in searches are Navel Foyos, Navel Late, and Sanguinelli.

In both categories (oranges and mandarins), the most common harvests advertised on the platform range between 10,000 and 50,000 kg.

In terms of volume growth, orange crops between 50,000 and 100,000 kg increased the most; in the case of mandarins, those between 1,000 and 5,000 kg grew the most.

The platform has already begun to register searches for early varieties such as Iwasaki, Clemenrubi, Arrufatina, and Okitsu.
