The Organizing Committee of Fruit Attraction, which will be held from September 30 to October 2, met yesterday in Madrid and confirmed the good progress that the Fair's 17th edition is having and that they expect growth in all parameters.
Three months before its start, 2,179 companies from 61 countries have confirmed that they will participate in the fair. In addition, the exhibition area allocated to date stands at 73,655 square meters, 5% higher than the total area allocated in last year's edition.
According to forecasts, over 2,500 companies will participate in Fruit Attraction 2025 and showcase their fruit and vegetable offer on 75,000 square meters. The fair expects attendance of more than 120,000 professionals from 150 countries.
Fruit Attraction will distribute and sectorize its 10 pavilions in a new manner. The tomato will be the star product this year.
The fair's activities regarding tomatoes will be developed in three areas: What this fruit represents in our food, its social and economic importance, and the geopolitical implications of trade. There will be a demonstration of the crop, through an orchard and an exhibition of innovative varieties, tastings, showcookings, as well as various round tables on market dynamics, trends, geopolitical, and regulatory issues in the tomato market, with special attention to the impact that the agreement between the EU and Morocco has on EU production.
Malaysia and Mexico will be the stars of the Guest Importing Countries initiative. This year, this initiative will join the Buyers' Program that, with the collaboration of MAPA and ICEX, will bring together more than 700 buyers from all over the world. In addition, the World Fresh Forum will be held on September 15, 16, and 17. These webinars by experts and trade professionals are organized by ICEX and will focus on Mexico, Malaysia, and China.
The fair will also hold the Best Stand Awards to award the exhibition spaces that stand out for their creativity, design, and commitment to sustainability. The Awards' four categories are: Most Original Stand, Best Stand Design, Most Sustainable Stand, and a People's Choice Award. Entries will be open until September 15.
Fruit Attraction is also promoting the Organic Hub Tour, a specially signposted route within the fair that will give greater visibility to organic certified products. Companies interested in being part of the tour must fill out a short online form and attach the corresponding documentation before July 30.
As usual, the fair will once again become a centre of knowledge thanks to its different forums, which will host a full program of technical seminars. The deadline to register for both the forums and the Innovation Hub is August 27.
