As of June 4, 2025, Russia imported 27,900 tonnes of sweet cherries, according to the Federal State Information System "Argus-Phyto," as reported by the Federal Service Rosselkhoznadzor. This amount is 1.4 times higher than in the same period of 2024, when imports reached 20,200 tonnes.
Despite the current increase, total annual sweet cherry imports to Russia dropped last year. In 2024, imports totaled 179,200 tonnes, which was a notable decrease from the 233,200 tonnes recorded in 2023.
