Fragola Matera®, a brand of the Nicofruit Group, recently ended the season by celebrating the shipping of the last punnet. An event that confirmed all the expectations and consensus that the company was aiming for in the 2025 campaign.

The celebration represented a moment of gathering and recognition for those who directly contributed to this operational phase, such as the packaging staff and the producer partners who have been delivering strawberries every day to the warehouse in Scanzano Jonico (Matera) in recent months.

"Today, we are shipping the last of over 9 million punnets processed for the Italian and foreign big retail trade, with a growth in sales compared to the previous year of no less than 10%," explains Naomi Nicodemo, head of the partner office. "It has not been one of the easiest years on the production front, but aggregation and professionalism have enabled us to set ourselves apart by supplying buyers with a premium product for national and European supermarkets. In fact, 15% of total volumes were exported to France, Luxembourg, Germany, Great Britain, and the Netherlands. Every day, more than one hundred workers are employed in our two warehouses, plus there are another 150 employees in our own strawberry farms."

The company's production base relies on a network of 27 local partners.
