"The recent rain has been beneficial for tomato seedlings, which are currently in their growth phase, even though it has certainly not been enough to fill dams or reservoirs, nor to guarantee adequate water supplies to safeguard summer crops. The water emergency has reduced the land used for industrial tomato production by at least 20%, considering that in Puglia, in the Capitanata area, the persistent drought of the last three years is reaching worrying proportions," reports Domenico Demaio, owner of the RossoGargano brand.

Rosso Gargano was founded in 2008 and has consolidated its position in recent years, increasing exports to over 50% of its turnover. The brand is present in 55 countries around the world, and especially in Japan, with a quality product sourced from its own land.

"Our passata and peeled tomatoes are particularly appreciated abroad," explains Demaio. "The market is currently very strong and prices are in line with our expectations. As for the large 3 kg food service formats, we have more product than for retail formats, so we should be able to last until October with our stocks. In terms of promotion, our participation in Tuttofood 2025 was very positive. The aim is to enter new markets and identify new consumer trends, but also to address issues relating to the competitiveness of agri-food products at a time when there is talk of tariffs."

"We are working to strengthen our national distribution network, which is a prerequisite for further expansion into the international markets. We are also promoting our Passata di Puglia, available in practical 400-gram glass jars and made from tomatoes grown in our fields in Puglia. We firmly believe that the market rewards those who invest in the supply chain and in the territory, and the results seem to confirm this: we have managed to enter various big retail platforms from northern to southern Italy."

With a growing turnover, over the years the company has invested heavily in communication and product promotion, recently succeeding in conquering new markets where the brand is doing well, especially in the retail and food service segments in Germany, France, Spain and the United Arab Emirates. These markets have enthusiastically welcomed the launch of RossoGargano's first glass jar product.
