In January–March 2025, China exported apples to Russia with the highest figure since 2019, according to an analysis by RIA Novosti based on data from Chinese customs.
During the first quarter, shipments of Chinese apples to Russia totaled $12.4 million, which is 1.5 times more than during the same period last year.
The Russian market became the seventh-largest destination for Chinese apple exports, moving up two positions over the past year. Indonesia remained the top importer, purchasing $38 million worth of Chinese apples in the first three months of the year. Vietnam and the Philippines followed with $37 million and $31 million, respectively.
