Already more than 3,000 hectares planted with the variety

"These conferences are part of a solid strategy to promote the Leanri mandarin"

More than 100 growers have attended the recent Leanri mandarin open days held on February 14 in the municipality of Burguillos, in the Spanish province of Seville, and on February 19 in San Rafael del Río, in the province of Castellón.

"They have been a resounding success and attracted plenty of interest in the sector. The number of people who attended demonstrates that the sector is fully involved in the development of this variety, which keeps gaining ground in the market thanks to initiatives that show a strong commitment to the growers," said the Leanri representatives.

"In Burguillos, the Muñoz Cabello brothers welcomed producers at their farm El Marjal de San Cristóbal, where they talked about their work and showcased the area where the variety is grown. Meanwhile, in San Rafael del Río, Viveros Alcanar opened the doors of its farm, allowing those attending to learn more about the Leanri production process," they say.

"These days have been very enriching, as they have allowed us to share advice and experiences regarding the variety's handling and cultivation, encouraging the exchange of knowledge among all participants," said the Leanri representatives.

The protected variety is in full growth and expansion and there are already more than 3,000 hectares planted, with a production limit set at 4,000 hectares. "These open days have been organized in the framework of a solid marketing strategy aimed at promoting Leanri in the market. This mandarin is revolutionizing the sector with its exceptional flavor, crunchy texture, and extraordinary size."
