The future of plant cultivation is green - in the truest sense of the word - according to the German company CompoPac, a producer of sustainable solutions in the agricultural and food sector. It had its first appearance at Fruit Attraction in October 2023 with its compostable packaging nets and climbing cords. Now, the next step towards a plastic-free environment is to be taken at SIVAL in Angers, particularly with CompoPac Growth, the climbing aids made from 100 % cellulose.
Use of CompoPac climbing aids
Made in Europe, with flexibility and customization
More than 100 years of textile experience with its own German company, TVU, in Leutershausen, Franconia, enables CompoPac to produce climbing aids that meet the individual needs of its customers. Everything is made in Europe - from the development of specific cords and the in-house dyeing and food-safety tests in their own laboratory to adapted products for different cultivations of vegetables and fruits. However, due to CompoPac's commitment, it is possible to offer customized solutions for special climbing aids, such as those used for the cultivation of kiwis.
Dominik Gedon, who is responsible for climbing aids, adds: "Due to the work that we do, we can make a useful contribution, which is great, and develop sustainable products proactively. Everyone who uses our climbing aids is making a small but significant step towards an eco-friendlier environment, free of plastic".
The compostable growing supports of CompoPac Growth are produced in Europe, which not only enables short supply chains but also ensures a quick response to customer inquiries and keeps the carbon footprint at a low level. The flexibility to fulfill special requirements makes CompoPac a reliable partner for the horticultural sector, especially for cultivation in greenhouses as well as for specific applications in outdoor cultivation.
It can be used worldwide regardless of the weather
Whether under extreme weather conditions or in regions with different climate zones – the natural climbing aids from CompoPac Growth are constructed to be used worldwide. The specially designed cords take extreme weather conditions into account and guarantee stable support for crop growth.
From January 16 to 18, 2024, the company will be exhibiting at the SIVAL trade fair in France. CompoPac is looking forward to exciting discussions and lively exchanges at the trade fair in meetings with visitors at its stand, B31.
