Selective harvest of early vegetables has begun in the farms of Chernoyarsky district in Astrakhan region. On an area of 130 hectares, white cabbage, carrots, and beets are grown. The peppers have already ripened, and the onions will be ready soon. The produce is sold through retail networks.
Farmers believe that the vegetable yield will be abundant. Year-round deliveries are planned. Modern storage facilities with digital technologies will help maintain the high quality of the vegetables.
The third enclosed platform is currently being prepared for operation. The refrigerators will be able to preserve almost 3,000 tons of vegetables. The construction of the fourth storage facility for onions is also underway. In total, these facilities will allow for the preservation of over 8,000 tons of produce.
