Peruvian table grape exports have increased by 35%

According to data from Fresh Fruit, last week Peru exported 508 tons of grapes, i.e. 3% more than in the same week of the previous year. So far this season, the country has exported 324,678 tons of grapes, which is 35% more than in the same period last year.

Although only nine Peruvian exporters were active last week, that number was still more than enough to exceed the volumes of the same week in 2022. Exports were led by Procesadora Laran (with a 26% share), Multifoods (21%), and Pura Fruit Company (14%).

The grapes were imported by 12 companies from different parts of the world. The most important buyers were Walmart (with a 26% share), Transnational Foods (21%), and Hoofdman-Roodzant (12%).

82% of the grapes exported last week were shipped through the port of Callao and the rest through Paita.
