Ruby Roman grapes become world’s most expensive fruit

Ruby Roman grapes are juicy grapes, called this in Japan because of their red color. Due to the cost of this fruit, a world record was created and it was awarded the title of the most expensive fruit in the world. The fruit also secured a place in the world record books. In Japan, a bunch of Ruby Roman grapes was sold at auction in 2020 for $12,000.

Reportedly, the price of each grape in this bunch is around $360. This Ruby Roman grape was sold at a supermarket in Amagasaki, Hyogo Prefecture. It’s a tradition in Japan to give fruit to friends and family as a sign of appreciation and bonding. It indicates how such fruits can be offered to your loved ones.
