Belgian potato processor Clarebout acquires Mydibel

Belgian producer of frozen chips Clarebout has announced that it has acquired potato processor Mydibel. Mydibel is a family-run potato processing company with three branches in Belgium, employing almost 800 people. The company processes potato products, including fries, croquettes and mashed potatoes, as well as potato flakes and granules. Products are marketed as Mydibel brands, but also as private labels.

Clarebout has some 1,800 employees at two processing factories. One branch is located in Nieuwkerke, where the head office is located. The second factory is located in Warneton.

For 2022, the company reported a turnover of more than one billion euros. Clarebout intends to build a new processing factory in Dunkirk, France.
