The integration of Alzicoop into Green Fruits Coop. V has been approved

The members of the Alzicoop fruit and vegetable cooperative, based in Alzira (Valencia), held an extraordinary meeting on Tuesday afternoon in which they unanimously approved joining the second-degree cooperative Green Fruits, Anecoop's main citrus partner.

With the entry of Alzicoop, Green Fruits adds nearly four million kilos of citrus and three million kilos of kaki to its offer. This means Green Fruits would move nearly 120,000 tons of products in future campaigns; including avocado, a product that was introduced last campaign and is in the process of consolidation.

It's worth noting that the incorporation of Copal in 2021 allowed Green Fruits, which up to that moment exclusively offered citrus, to add kaki to its offer. The integration of Alzicoop will give even more weight to this autumn fruit in the second-degree cooperative's product portfolio. Green Fruits is headquartered in Oliva and ended the 2021-2022 financial year with a marketing volume of 110,000 tons.

The five cooperatives that makeup Green Fruits Coop. V. are members of Anecoop, which has strongly supported this initiative from the beginning as an integration formula to achieve greater competitiveness and be better able to address the challenges and complexities posed by the market.

"Green Fruits is one of the platforms that work with the Clemensoon variety, exclusive to Anecoop and its partners"

At the moment, both entities are working to close the details of this operation, which will culminate in the coming weeks.
