When one arrives at Freight Line Europe's (FLE) new multifunctional business premises, it immediately becomes clear how well the space was used. This new facility is in Maasdijk (Westland), the Netherlands. There's ample staff parking on the roof. That, in turn, created room around the building for moving stock. There was no launch party this year. That's due to the coronavirus pandemic. But, Viktor Vijverberg, FLE's Sales Manager, was happy to give us a tour.

Freight Line Europe moved to this new location in February. This company specializes in temperature-controlled transport. "Our old building in Westeree was quickly getting too small. The new facility is aimed at meeting the increasing demand for other logistics services. It's also aimed at expansion in the area of transportation," says Viktor.
"The new building is in the Honderdland business park. It's right next to the A20 highway and a stone's throw from the ferry terminal to the UK. We want to grow this site into an important hub. It must be used for importing and exporting fresh fruit and vegetables. These will go between the Netherlands, the UK, and France."

Viktor says there are still plenty of other opportunities for FLE within Europe. That's despite the corona crisis. "In recent years, we've become an important player in the French market. That's aside from being a specialist in the UK. We're now orientating ourselves in other EU countries as well. Our fully temperature-controlled building is registered as an inspection location. That's partly with a view on Brexit. The facility also has cooling cells. We not only having storage and cross-docking options. We can take care of customs formalities too," Viktor concludes.
