Chinese cabbage becoming cheaper in Poland

At the moment, there is an excess supply of Chinese cabbage on the Polish market, and this has already had a negative impact on prices in this segment, as reported by EastFruit project analysts citing data from their own daily monitoring.

They stress that the supply of Chinese cabbage on the Polish market continues to increase due to seasonal factors, while the domestic demand is very low. At the same time, importers are also not particularly interested in purchasing these products.

In this situation, local growers have been forced to push prices further down. Today, they are ready to ship these products at a price of $ 0.41-0.51 / kg, which is on average 9% cheaper than last week.

It is worth noting that, despite the negative price trend, current prices are on average 39% higher than in the same period last year. Also, producers believe that the market situation will only get worse if the sales pace remains the same, as the supply of Chinese cabbage will continue to grow.
