Demand of global market increases
Potential of frozen strawberries in the Chinese market is huge
Europe is the biggest market for strawberries, which offers a series of opportunities for frozen strawberry importers. Generally speaking, the consumption of European frozen fruits has witnessed an increasing trend and it has increased at the speed of 5% every year in the past five years.
In other areas outside of Europe, the increasing markets in North Africa, Asia and America also have new opportunities, especially that in China and America taking 56% of the global consumption. Because of the improved varieties, a longer shelf-life, new eating habits and their increasing use as a popular food, it is expected that the import volume of frozen strawberries in the world will increase in the next few years.
The main client for frozen strawberries is the food processing industry. Retailers also take up a small part of the potential clientele who are willing to pay more for the imported frozen strawberries, but only for the highest-quality products.
