Air transport could become strategic for premium fresh produce from south-eastern Sicily. The market is increasingly interested in high-quality healthy products, so Sicily could and must play a leading role, especially if Italy wants to compete with other Mediterranean countries.
The sector can now count on a new opportunity, as there is a carrier that can reach any destination at a good cost. FreshPlaza talked about it with Rossano De Luca, Cargo Country Manager Italy for FlyDubai.

Lower tariffs
"Our prices are 20% lower than the market average, so we are more competitive. It's a great opportunity for the Sicilian sector.
