Uzbekistan’s fruit and vegetable output reaches 12.5M tons in 2025

According to the National Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan, from January to September 2025, the country's farms produced 9.9 million tons of vegetables and 2.6 million tons of fruits and berries. Fruit and berry production grew by 4.3% compared to the same period in 2024.

The largest producers were:

Vegetables:

  • Andijan region: 1.4 million tons
  • Samarkand region: 1.4 million tons
  • Fergana region: 1.1 million tons
  • Surkhandarya region: 1.1 million tons
  • Tashkent region: 1.0 million tons

Fruits and berries:

  • Andijan region: 496,000 tons
  • Fergana region: 381,000 tons
  • Samarkand region: 345,000 tons
  • Bukhara region: 267,000 tons
  • Namangan region: 244,000 tons.

At the same time, Uzbekistan exported 1.6 million tons of fruits and vegetables, worth about USD 1.5 billion, accounting for 5.5% of total exports. Export volumes increased by 7.5% year-on-year, or 111,500 tons.

Export composition:

  • Fruits and berries: 456,100 tons
  • Vegetables: 504,400 tons
  • Melons and watermelons: 229,200 tons
  • Peanuts and nuts: 17,700 tons
  • Mung beans: 36,400 tons
  • Other products: 362,500 tons.
