Recap of Asia Fruit Logistica Hong Kong

Asia Fruit Logistica saw a stronger international participation compared to previous editions. The show was held from 3-5 September 2025 and more than 14,000 trade visitors attended with 760 exhibitors from 43 different countries.

"We are thrilled with the success of this year's event. The engagement over the three days from our exhibitors, trade visitors, and top-tier industry figures from all over the world has been phenomenal," said David Axiotis, managing director of Global Produce Events, the organiser of Asia Fruit Logistica.

"The level of innovation, quality of networking, and the sheer volume of new business opportunities forged here have exceeded all expectations. It is a testament to the resilience and vibrancy of the fresh produce sector, and it is inspiring to see the industry unite to forge the path for the future of trade in Asia."

The event featured some 26 national or regional pavilions this year showcasing a wide range of innovations, including first-time pavilions from Japan, Israel and Armenia. In addition, Peru was named as the Official Partner Country for this year's event.

China was the single-largest exhibiting country again this year. Also in the top five exhibiting countries were the US, Australia, Egypt and New Zealand.New for this year was the First Timer Pavilion. Offering a high-visibility platform for businesses making their debut at the show, the First Timer Pavilion showcased nine companies from seven different countries.

Welcome evening
Asia Fruit Logistica kicked off with the Welcome Evening on 2 September at the Rosewood Hotel – co-hosted with official wholesale market partners – Guangzhou Jiangnan Agricultural Group and Shanghai Huizhan Fruit and Vegetable Market – and Knowledge Partner Asiafruit Magazine. The invitation-only event brought together more than 800 top industry professionals for an entertaining evening of networking taking in breathtaking views of Hong Kong's iconic harbour.

Top buyers take part
With a packed-out trade show floor, Asia Fruit Logistica exhibitors and visitors made the most of the opportunities to meet and do business.

Business and networking opportunities were further enhanced this year with the return of the Retailer's Club and Premium Buyers programme. More than 300 top retail buyers and 800 premium buyers took part, enjoying exclusive services including a dedicated lounge, speed-dating, meeting spaces and curated matchmaking. Altogether, more than 100 speed-dating meetings took place over the three days of Asia Fruit Logistica.

Expert insights at Asiafruit Knowledge Centre
Exhibitors and visitors were also able to access leading-edge information and insights at Asiafruit Knowledge Centre, the dynamic content hub on the trade show floor.

Over a packed three-day programme, more than 50 expert speakers provided visitors with an unrivalled combination of strategic insights and practical takeaways to help grow their business.

Asiafruit Congress opened with a high-powered panel discussion looking at how Asia's fresh produce market has evolved over the past three decades, and where it's heading next. Speakers included Konna Mu (Joy Wing Mau Group), Marc Evrard (Belgian Fruit Valley), Felipe Casanova (Copefrut) and Steve Quinn (Pivit Global).

Asiafruit Business Forum included practical, expert-led sessions on marketing, tech, logistics, and more. Unifrutti Japan's Kennard Wong and Goodfarmer's Eric Zheng unpacked the latest trends in Asia's banana trade, while Ashwin Pillay of RedFern Digital was joined by Rockit Global's Julian Smith to discuss South-East Asia's fast-evolving digital marketing landscape.

At Asiafruit Showcase, exhibitors presented fresh produce innovations for business in Asia. Rijk Zwaan's Friso Klok and Novianto outlined melon assortment and developments for the South-East Asian market. Alfred Tew (IBA Industrial Asia Pacific) discussed the benefits of irradiation food treatment technology, and Copeland's Kunnida Ponesatitpong explained how data can 'supercharge' cold chain resilience.

New forums spotlight fast-expanding sectors
Asia Fruit Logistica also featured two brand-new forums this year: the Frozen Fruit and Vegetables Forum and the Nuts & Dried Fruit Forum, giving visitors direct access to expert insights and new business opportunities in these fast-growing sectors.

Asia Fruit Awards: winners announced
The Asia Fruit Awards 2025 winners were announced in a special presentation ceremony on 4 September at Asiafruit Congress.

  • Dole China won the Marketing Campaign of the Year Award for its Dole Banana 125th Anniversary campaign.
  • Leading Thai importer-distributor City Fresh Fruit took home the Importer of the Year Award.
  • The Produce Retailer of the Year Award went to Central Retail Vietnam, the leading foreign-owned multiformat food retailer in Vietnam.
  • The Impact Award was presented to Rijk Zwaan recognising the seed company's investments in Asia to develop tailored products and solutions that benefit the fresh produce supply chain and wider agricultural communities.

Next stop: China Meet Up
Visitors and exhibitors at Asia Fruit Logistica can now join the China Meet Up, which takes place on 8-9 September at the Haizhu International Convention and Exhibition Center in Guangzhou. It offers an opportunity to connect with China's top decision makers and industry leaders and gain insights into the latest market trends.

Asia Fruit Logistica returns to Hong Kong next year, taking place on 2-4 September 2026 at AsiaWorld-Expo.
