Government sets Ramadan prices for essential commodities in Bangladesh

In a strategic move to stabilize the market during the month of Ramadan, the Bangladeshi government has announced fixed prices for essential commodities. This initiative aims to prevent price hikes and ensure affordability for the masses.

The decision was unveiled in a meeting chaired by the Commerce Minister, emphasizing the government's commitment to market regulation. Key commodities such as sugar, edible oil, chickpeas, onions, and lentils are among the items with set prices.

"The government will sell these items at fixed rates through the Trading Corporation of Bangladesh," stated the Commerce Minister, highlighting the strategy to mitigate inflationary pressures during Ramadan. This approach underscores Bangladesh's efforts to balance market dynamics with consumer welfare, ensuring a harmonious Ramadan for all.
