The new season of Xiuwen kiwifruit in Guizhou has begun. Large-scale picking and storage has recently ended and the kiwi fruit has entered the storage stage. It is understood that due to abundant rainfall, Xiuwen kiwifruit yields are high this year, and the unit yield and single fruit weight have increased significantly.
Kiwi fruit is the main seasonal fruit of Guiyang Cailanzi Group Co., Ltd. Mr. Shi of the company introduced the new season: "This year, the dry matter ratio of the fruit reaches more than 19%, and the Brix after ripening reaches more than 19. These two key indicators reflect the quality of kiwi fruit, and their average values are higher than before. The quality of fruit has improved this year. In addition, the average fruit weight increased by about 10% compared with the past."

According to Shi, the prices at the origin of Xiuwen kiwifruit this year started low and moved high, and were overall lower than in previous years: "Due to the bumper yield, at the beginning of the harvest, farmers were worried that the big volume would be difficult to sell, and they hoped to sell quickly, resulting in low prices. Later, as some large companies intervened in purchases and differentiated products in terms of selection and classification, prices gradually increased. However, due to the impact of the general environment, prices are still lower than in previous years. "At present, the market price of Xiuwen kiwi fruit is relatively stable overall.”

In terms of consumer trends, Shi said that currently, fruits with low unit prices are more popular among consumers: “As far as kiwi fruit is concerned, according to observations, consumers prefer products with low unit price, that is, they pay a low price to taste a certain amount each time. Consumers pay relatively little attention to actual net kilogram prices but unit prices. Therefore, the small package is becoming more and more popular, and it is more obvious in e-commerce sales. At present, kiwi fruit sales are showing two trends. One is that ready-to-eat kiwis are gradually becoming mainstream, and the other is that small packages with lower unit prices are becoming more and more popular. Both of them suit the needs of different consumer groups."

The new season of Xiuwen kiwis began to be put on the market in batches in early October, and domestic and foreign sales started simultaneously. They are now exported to international markets such as Dubai and Canada.
Guiyang Cailanzi Group Co., Ltd. has launched a new brand "Shandi Guishuang" and has full agency for the "7 Bugou" brand to sell kiwi fruit in a dual-brand model. Sales channels cover live broadcasts, e-commerce platforms, wholesale markets, and supermarkets. The company will gradually launch more core fruit products such as Pepino Melon and Guizhou honey plum.
