More than 150 hectares of vegetable crops and fruit trees affected

Mekong Delta flooded by heavy rains

Many roads and alleys in Can Tho City continue to be heavily flooded for the fifth consecutive day as prolonged heavy rain and high tides pummeled Ca Mau Province. Additionally, more than 880 hectares of summer rice, winter-spring rice and more than 150 hectares of vegetable crops and fruit trees in these two districts were submerged in floodwaters.

Authorities in Kien Giang said that some localities in the area experienced heavy rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, tornadoes and strong winds at sea due to the influence of a low pressure zone damaging people's property.
