First ever consignment

East UP farmers export banana plant products to UAE

East UP farmers have sent the first ever consignment of banana plant derivatives, including leaves, fruit and flowers, to the United Arab Emirates by air route from Lal Bahadur Shastri International airport of Varanasi on Monday evening.

In a boost to agricultural products exports, the Agricultural & Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), under the aegis of Ministry of Commerce & Trade, has facilitated the maiden shipment of 3,400 kg of banana plant products - including fruits, flowers, and leaves - from Varanasi to the UAE by air route.
