Organic living lettuces in the spotlight

Local Bounti, a U.S. indoor agriculture company, is proud to be a part of the 2023 Organic Produce Summit (OPS) taking place July 12-13 in Monterey, California.

The company will display an assortment of California-grown organic living lettuces, including the popular organic living butter lettuce, along with the organic living red butter lettuce variety and two other organic favorites - spring mix and watercress.

The indoor ag company will display an assortment of California-grown organic living lettuces at the show.

A returning exhibitor to the show, Local Bounti continues to attend due to the event repeatedly offering a strong turnout of produce buyers and leaders from across the industry. “We find the attendees are highly engaged, and this event has become a ‘can’t miss’ industry engagement,” says Aaron Sumption, senior vice president of sales.

Pointing to the strong industry attendance as one of the reasons why OPS is an important show, Sumption says the connections made while there are critical. “We expect this show will bring in a diverse group of buyers and sellers of fresh organic produce and provide the opportunity to engage in high-quality dialogue with industry leaders. We are excited to share what Local Bounti has been working on since last year’s show and to hear the same from other growers, retailers, and distributors,” he adds.

In attendance at booth #917 will be the following members from the Local Bounti team: Brian Cook, president; Aaron Sumption, senior vice president of sales; Baltazar Garcia, vice president of sales; Matt Hubbard, director of sales and Blair Butterworth, marketing manager.

“Our organic offerings continue to grow in demand, and we feel organics will remain relevant for years to come. OPS is a great way to get our products in front of the industry,” says Sumption.
