More domestic fruits enter the market, and avocado prices drop

Entering June, more domestically produced fruits are on the market; various specifications such as gift boxes and small packages have increased. In terms of sales, the merchants said that the quality and quantity of the fruits currently arriving are generally good, but sales are slow and the transaction volume is low.

More blueberries from different origins are on the market, including Shandong, Anhui, Hunan, and Liaoning. The prices are slightly lower than last week. Some merchants have launched different specifications of packaging according to the origin and characteristics of the varieties to meet their needs. For example, the vine blueberries produced in Dandong are packaged in small sizes ranging from 400-500 grams, with beautiful packages to meet the needs of community group buying.

Yunnan Shine Muscat grapes are gradually increasing, and the prices of different brands are quite different, and the price of the same brand has remained flat recently. Some said that due to the high temperature and drought in the production area in Yunnan this season, the sweetness of Shine Muscat grapes is slightly lower than last year. Sales have been slow recently.

The price of imported avocados has dropped due to the large number of arrivals. The price of 22# and 20# Peruvian avocados is about ¥60-¥75 per box, a decrease of more than 20% compared with the same period last year. Earlier, the price per box was about ¥100. Merchants said that in addition to more Peruvian avocados, the arrival of Kenyan avocados is more than last year and the price is also lower, which lowered the price of Peruvian avocados. It is understood that buyers still prefer Peruvian avocados because of their superior taste and shelf life.

New Zealand Piqa Boo pears currently sell for about ¥360-¥370 per box in a 7kg package, and merchants say that the sales are slow. It is understood that the price of Piqa Boo pears fell to more than ¥100 last year. Although the price is relatively ideal this year, it is difficult to sell due to the high price and lack of features. Merchants said that there were few arrivals in the early stages of the production season, and the supply was in high demand. Now that the arrivals have increased, the sales are slow.

The price of mangosteen from Thailand continued to drop compared with last week. In the second half of this week, the price increased slightly due to the decrease in arrivals. For example, the price of 3A specifications was about ¥150-¥170/piece, which was about 15% lower than the same period last week. It is reported that the price of mangosteen fluctuated greatly last month, and the recent continuous decline has made merchants and buyers more cautious and the sales are going slowly.

The sales of imported durians are not as good as before, and the prices have dropped. At present, the Vietnamese Kanyao A-grade fruit is about ¥230/piece, a decrease of nearly 10% compared with last week, while the Thai Monthong A6-grade fruit has also been reduced from ¥950/piece last week to about ¥800/piece. In addition, a small amount of Vietnamese Monthong durians is on sale, and the price of A-grade fruit is about ¥700/piece, which is lower than last week.

In terms of domestic seasonal fruits, the high-quality lychees are mainly Guiwei and seedless varieties, with exquisite packages. Shaanxi Dali winter jujube is in the early stage of the market. They are packed in foam boxes and gift boxes. The volume is not large, and the sales are generally smooth. The arrival of honey peaches in Longquanyi, Sichuan has gradually increased. Merchants said that the taste is just right in place, and the price has stabilized recently. Shanxi peaches have also been on the market. In addition, a small amount of honey plum with Guizhou characteristics has started to supply the market. Some merchants said that during this period of time, there are not many varieties of fruits, and there are fewer products to choose from no matter how they are sold.
