Recently, Dole, a century-old fruit brand, has enriched its banana product line and launched Dole's Little Prince Banana, which caters to the needs of consumers.
The Dole brand originated in 1851 and has grown to become one of the world's largest and best-quality fresh fruit and vegetable production and sales multinational groups, and is in the leading position in the industry. At present, Dole has 10 core production areas in the Philippines, with a total of about 16,000 hectares of banana farms and an annual output of about 260,000 tons.
The Dole Banana Series has added a new product, the Dole Little Prince Banana for Hema Fresh.
Under the impact of the pandemic, consumers have greatly increased their attention to health. Bananas are nutritious and healthy, can replenish energy quickly, are filling, and have become one of the choices of meal replacements for modern people. Dole has a clear insight into the needs of the market and consumers, and thus Dole's Little Prince Banana came into being.
Dole's Little Prince bananas are produced in Dole's own farm in the Philippines. From seedling breeding to harvest and packaging, the whole process is monitored and managed by Dole. The farm has 6-8 hours of light daily and a suitable climate for banana growth. At present, its production accounts for only 10% of Dole banana production.
Currently, Dole's Little Prince Bananas are listed first in Hema Fresh. As a new retail platform under the Alibaba Group, Hema aims to create a community-based one-stop new retail experience center for consumers, bringing people a "delicious life" with technology and a human touch.
The main consumer groups of Hema are household users who spend most of the night at home. Targeted convenience stores or light meals are launched based on office scenarios, and users who go to the supermarket to take their children out for a walk on weekends. These user groups highly overlap with Dole's main consumer groups, which has contributed to the hot sales of this new product. It is reported that in the future, Dole will also sell more differentiated products on the Hema channels and conduct further direct communication with consumers.
