Israel: Agrexco back on track

Agrexco Carmel Agricultural Export Company Ltd reamerged in middle of November 2011.

Mr Gideon Bickel bought the activity of the old Agrexco from its liquidator including the famous brand CARMEL and all other brands like CARMEL BIOTOP ,CORAL , ALESIA , etc'.

The new structure of the company includes 70 employees in Israel and 20 in Europe. Most of them were employed for many years by Agrexco. Sales are made either from the branch offices abroad or directly from Israel.

All kinds of fresh fruit, vegetables, citrus, roots, flowers, and propagation materials are exported already. The target is to reach a sales capacity of 50 million Euro during 2012 and triple it in 2013.

The increase in volume will continue in the next years. "Growers show great interest in exporting with Agrexco Carmel due to its wide knowledge in all aspects of marketing fresh produce. Logistic services are outsourced easily, while its sea terminal "Carmel kor" is serving all exporters in the port of Ashdod", says Malchi.J.Malinovitch, Vice President Logistic Group of Agrexco.
