US: Modifications to the Caterpillar 939C for agricultural applications

John Berry & Mike Pres. Wiggins Lift Co. Inc. have joined together to start building the Caterpillar 939C high rise loader with modifications for high flotation loader for the agricultural applications.
It will carry 8,000 lbs. of product out of the fields. With most fresh vegetables wet ground will stop you sooner or later. This machine will work where no machines or trucks can go. "We have built over 50 loaders in the past 12 years. This is the only kind of a loader that will not get stuck and will leave the ground in good shape for the next crop."
Together John and Mike built and sold many Cat 931B LNG machines that have been used in agriculture for over 15 years.

Why start modification of Cat 939C ?
1. Hystat Control (no: transmission, converter, brakes and steering clutches)
2. Power 91 net HP (931B 60 HP)
3. Undercarriage: Larger track links, pins & bushing, rollers and Idlers. (D4H)
4. Many of the 931B LGP we built are in need of replacing.

"We are installing 30” mud shoes over the 25” shoes on the 931B loader. This will give better flotation and longer undercarriage life."
All modifications to raise the machine along with front and rear carriages are built by Wiggins. The rear carriage will have very good visibility. Both carriages will have side shift and split shift.
