Despite the difficult situation created by the Russian ban, there are still opportunities to be seized, especially if providing services as well as products. Francesco Tagliani from Tagliani Vivai has in fact explained that "nowadays, you also have to work as a consultant, or you won't sell anything. There are investors in Eastern countries that want to plant orchards, but they are not technicians, and therefore they are looking for someone to help them."

"It is true that more and more apples are being planted worldwide, but it is also true that consumption is increasing. There is still scope for growth because apples are a product that can be managed easily, stored for months and sold for a long period of time. The Russian ban might lead to new opportunities."
"Poland, the main European apple producer, now has to reallocate half a million tons of fruit, whereas Turkey is now supplying Russia, so there is a gap in the Middle East - a crises has multiple aspects and they can help companies keep up-to-date and to remain competitive."
