The sixth edition of Expoalimentaria, the region's largest international fair about food, beverages, machinery, equipment, supplies, packaging, services, restaurants and gastronomy, was held in Lima between 27 and 29 August. The event has become an international meeting point of exporting companies and select buyers from all five continents.

The fair gathered over 38,000 professional visitors, including producers, food manufacturers, importers, exporters, and service and machinery suppliers for the food industry. Also, more than 650 companies showcased their products and the latest technology.
The event also hosted conferences by international experts, where the latest trends and market developments were presented.

"A total of 730 million dollars' worth of deals were closed during Expoalimentaria 2014," said Gastón Pacheco, president of ADEX. "This figure represents an increase that exceeds the target set, which entails many possibilities for Peruvian companies that participated in the fair and for the opening of new overseas markets," he added
