Mertens presents Control Weight System for Agrifast Tom System

The Agrifast Tom System is the new crop clipping system which is revolutionising the crop tying methods. The main advantage is the clipping speed, around 1,500 plants/hour, allowing the growers to reduce significantly the labour cost in their greenhouses.

The Netherlands is the heart of the greenhouse industry and that is why Agrifast and Mertens, the exclusive distributor of the Tom System for the country, have focused their efforts in this market.

In this way and in order to make easier to work with the Tom System, Mertens has designed a Control Weight unit to hold the Tom System from the electric trolleys of the greenhouses. “It is very simple and user friendly and allows the worker to clip very fast without any difficulty”, says a greenhouse tomato grower in Bleiswijk, Netherlands.
