Northwest cherries launch European campaign in Belgium

The first activity focused on the famous rainier variety started on 11th July at the Brussels European Center of Fruit & Vegetable, the market place for buyers of supermarkets and wholesalers from all over Belgium and the neighbouring countries, with demo/tastings and give-aways POS materials made in coordination with the leading Belgium importers in place.

A second round of activity took place at the European Center to launch the red varieties of USA Northwest cherries on 26th July.



The week after, an event will take place at the Brussels city wholesale market (Mabru) to target the independent retail and foodservice sector with demonstrators on roller-skate for tastings and giving out POS materials aimed to be displayed in the Brussels area stores to hit the final consumer.

The promotional activities will go on in Belgium and Luxembourg up to the third week of August including in-store tastings, in-house magazine parutions in some of the main BeLux distributors like Match, Cora and Delhaize.

USA Northwest cherries industry is expecting peak volume to arrive in the next few weeks.
