Fruits from Iran and Azerbaijan were imported into the Stavropol of Russia

Fruits from Iran and Azerbaijan have appeared on the shelves of the Stavropol region in Russia.

Since the beginning of the year, the agency's employees have monitored 2,199 tons of imported fruits. During this period, 491 tons of persimmons, 148 tons of quinces, and 533 tons of apples from Azerbaijan were imported into the region. Additionally, 1,027 tons of kiwi arrived from Iran.

"Compared to the same period in 2023, the volumes of imported fruit shipments decreased by 1.6 times (3,527 tons of fruit were imported last year)," the statement said.

All products meet Russia's phytosanitary requirements and can be sold in the region, according to the North Caucasus interregional branch of the Rosselkhoznadzor, as reported on March 25th.
