Meet 32 suppliers from developing countries, trained and ready for EU partnerships

EU: CBI focuses on global sourcing and sustainability

CBI is proud to present 32 suppliers from Colombia, Egypt, Pakistan, Ethiopia, Guatemala, Sri Lanka, Ecuador, Peru, Kenya, Madagascar, Thailand and Senegal at Fruit Logistica 2012. Fruit Logistica, the leading international meeting for the fresh produce trade, will take place from 8 - 10 February at Messe Berlin. The CBI Pavilion will be located in Hall 6, Stands D06 - 07, with additional companies presented at their own Country Pavilions.

"Global sourcing" is more than a catchphrase at Fruit Logistica 2012 where CBI will present 32 suppliers from a dozen developing countries. These suppliers, from all over the world, are actively seeking long-term European partnerships -- and all have been handpicked by CBI's experienced sector experts.

These companies can provide new consistent and sustainable sources for a range of fresh produce, including pineapples, bananas, avocados, mangoes, grapes, citrus, beans, peas, herbs and more. Their locations allow them to provide fresh off-season fruits and vegetables to Europe, as well as a wide range of exotics, such as pomegranates, rambutan and mangosteen.

Each grower has invested heavily in the preparation necessary for successful partnerships in Europe, including GLOBALGAP certification. They have completed a rigorous CBI training programme to meet European market standards for fresh fruits and vegetables. CBI considers them to be reliable, consistent partners who provide outstanding levels of quality. All 32 companies will continue to be monitored as they explore new markets.

You can meet these companies at the CBI Pavilion during Fruit Logistica 2012 in Berlin: Hall 6, Stands D06 - 07; Hall 6, Stand D08 (Senegalese companies) and at other selected stands throughout the fair.
