Famous Orly and Yuval varieties, take the lead
Israel: It's export season for Carmel's strawberries

End of November will mark the beginning of strawberries export season.
Grown in the Sharon with the mild Israeli autumn, the strawberries absorbed the sun rays which turned their cheeks to rose and then red.

The famous varieties, Yuval and Orly were developed by Fertiseeds, an Israeli company engaged in cultivating unique strawberry varieties. Agrexco and Fertiseeds continue to invest in the cultivation of new varieties, within the framework of the agreement signed a few months ago between them which rendered Agrexco with exclusive worldwide distribution rights.

Yuval and Orly are sought after because of their unique traits- their sweetness, at least 8% BRIX scale, their full red colour and long shelf life.
Beside sweetness, Yuval and Orly offer high levels of vitamin C, folic acid, dietary fibers as well as important minerals- potassium, iron and magnesium.

Strawberry export season will last till the end of March 2010.
Following last year's successful logistic experiment proving strawberries' resilience to the challenges of seafreight, Yuval and Orly will reach their eager customers after a sea voyage affecting neither their taste nor their shape.
Carmel strawberries- extra tasty, extra sweet.
