First kiwi berries of the season sold

On Friday, 24 August, Coƶperatie Hoogstraten sold the first kiwi berries of the new season. This is rather early, but it is thanks to the hot summer experienced in Europe. This year's harvest is estimated at 130 tonnes. Last year's production was lower because of the spring frost. Thanks to this high yield, more consumers will get the chance to taste this innovative fruit.

Hoogstraten, also have new top seal packaging for this unusual fruit this season. This packaging aligns the kiwi berry more closely with other berries. It, therefore, allows this Belgian Auctioneer to exploit even more of the market demand. From this week, more of this product will also become available.
