France: fruit prices soar

According to the latest figures from Insee, fruit production prices in June increased by 22.3% over the year. Apricot prices even increased by 47.4% in June compared to the same time in June 2017. Nectarine and peach prices increased by 31.3%. However, tomato prices dropped by 30% over the year. Overall though, intermediate production prices increased (+4.0% then 3.2%) in the wake of energy prices (+24.3%).
