The Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO) announced changes in retail prices to inform the public. According to the figures, out of the 242 products in the tracking list, 93 products had a price increase in July whereas a price decrease was observed in 51 products.
The price of tomatoes increased by 24 % followed by lemons with a 14 % increase. Apple prices also increased by nearly 12 %. On the other hand, the price of watermelon went down by 26 % followed by peaches with a 20 % price decrease and pears with an 18 % decline in prices.
