One shipment of 300 kg of Zengcheng lychees passed through Huangpu customs before dawn on June 28th. The lychees were air freighted to the United Arab Emirates and smoothly passed customs in Dubai where they were for sale in supermarkets.

Zengcheng is well-known for its lychees. It is one of the largest lychee production areas in the world. The surface area devoted to lychee production in Zengcheng is 11,333 hectares. Zengcheng enjoyed an abundant harvest this year. The production volume is estimated at 28 thousand tons.
