After extensive renovation work in the Mühlgasse 17 in 8580 Köflach, Austria, MERKUR reopened its doors there on June 28th. Their popular and visually appealing marketplace concept is used in this new market as well: the fresh-food areas, such as the meat area, are designed as extra inviting niches. Customers can also look forward to a colorful selection of 20,000 products. "Our markets and our range diversity stand for enjoyment and friendship. These values can also be experienced through our charming design. In addition, our customers are pampered with a great range of services and are always advised individually by our friendly staff," said MERKUR CEO Kerstin Neumayer.

The 7,000 products from the "Marketplace Austria" assortment of more than 500 Austrian producers will not be missing from the reopened market in the Mühlgasse. MERKUR Board Member Harald Mießner: "With 'Marketplace Austria' we will create a colorful assortment with a strong regional character for our customers. From fresh to dried products, juices, sweets and much more; here you will find all sorts of Austrian delicacies and specialties of the Styrian suppliers that surround this city.”
