"Panzhihua mangoes use Xinfadi Market to "travel the country"

Panzhihua's mangoes are currently entering the market in gradual succession to take advantage of the dynamic market. The Panzhihua City government and Beijing Xinfadi Corporate Management have signed a strategic cooperation agreement, the aim of which is to use the infrastructure of Beijing Xinfadi Market, a large-scale trade market specialized in agricultural wholesale, to enter the homes of thousands of consumers.

Panzhihua is the foremost production area of tropical fruit in Sichuan. The production includes mangoes, loquat, wax apples, pomegranates, strawberries, and cherries. Panzhihua produces fresh fruit in all four seasons and its products are nationally recognized as characteristic regional products. The surface area devoted to vegetable production in Panzhihua reached 14,667 hectares in 2017. The production volume was 780 thousand tons. The surface area devoted to characteristic fruit plantation in Panzhihua reached 44 thousand hectares in 2017. The main product varieties included mango's, loquat, cherries, and mulberries.

The overall surface area devoted to mango production in Panzhihua reached 34 thousand hectares this year. 18 thousand hectares of mango plantations bear fruit and are expected to produce 250 thousand tons of mango's this year. The main product variety is Keitt. Various plantations in Panzhihua announced the beginning of harvest on June 26th. Panzhihua mango's are expected to enter the market around August 10th and supply is expected to last until December.
