World Cup Special: Belgium and Germany
You may be surprised to read information about Belgium and Germany in the World Cup in this article, since I originally announced that I would focus on Latin American countries, Spain and Portugal, but we don't want you to miss the enthusiastic actions of other companies and the ways in which they are taking advantage of this sporting event with their products.
Besides the promotional packaging, you can feel it in the atmosphere that the World Cup is already underway. "Last Monday, Belgium played its first match at 5 o'clock in the afternoon, so we left early to see it. We have even changed our logo temporarily, because the Belgians are known as the Red Devils. We are proud to be Belgian, yes."
This is the 13th time that Belgium takes part in the World Cup. Last Monday, it won the first game against Panama. This Saturday, Belgium will face Tunisia.
Germany
Germany is one of the most successful national teams in World Cup history. However, this year they lost their first game against Mexico. On the occasion of the World Cup, football is everywhere. In addition to the promotional tomato packaging with the national colours shown above, more fresh fruits and vegetables are being promoted. Matthias Krabbe, of the German company Behr, says that you have to support the national team no matter what. "We will only know if there is something to celebrate at the end of the World Cup. What is clear is that our players will have our full support, we owe it to them."
This company, which is devoted to the production of vegetables in the open ground, has adapted some of its products to this sporting event. Behr's iceberg lettuce is presented as if it were a football ball; the Romana mini is sold in packs of three, and Kohlrabi is sold together with a referee whistle.
Germany will play its next match against Sweden also this Saturday. Enjoy the games!
