Early potatoes from Germany became increasingly relevant. More and more significant quantities arrived, mainly from the Palatinate and from the Hanover region. Supply expanded. On the one hand, a harmonious relationship between supply and demand guaranteed stable prices, on the other hand, the increase in supply pushed distributors to lower there prices somewhat perks. In some areas, marginally higher prices were possible due to the large demand. Imports from Italy and Cyprus gradually decreased. Their prices dropped occasionally as well, because of the strong domestic competition.
