Iran: First refrigerated export to UAE via Bandar Lengeh

The director of the Bandar Lengeh Ports and Maritime Directorate this Sunday announced that a total of 200 tons of fruit and vegetables have been exported, for the first time, to the United Arab Emirates via the port of Bandar Lengeh in Iran’s southern Hormozgan Province.

Qasem Askarinasab added that the 9-TEU refrigerated container craft was sent to Dubai. “Bandar Lengeh is located about 67 miles from Dubai and Sharjah in the UAE, the closest sea route between Iran’s southern coasts and the main ports of this neighbouring country,” he was quoted as saying on financialtribune.com.
