A hail storm last week in Korkuteli, southern Turkey, caused significant damage to tons of fruit. Apricots were knocked from the branches by the heavy hailstones, which also damaged foliage and turned the fields white.
Growers reported that this was the second time this year that they had suffered significant financial losses due to weather related crop damage.
