What makes these pumpkins unique is their sweetness. In fact, at the moment, Florfruits’s pumpkins reach between 12 and 14 brix degrees, which indicates the grams of sugar per 100 grams of product, while the average is 12. However, the company is working in close contact with the University of Valencia to increase the brix degrees by 16 and improve the quality of their squash. The pumpkins are available all year round.
These are the main reasons why Florfruits has been selected as the best producer of pumpkins by one of the most important food companies at a global level, to provide them with pumpkins for their pumpkin cream.
Another distinctive characteristic of Florfruits is that they provide pumpkins for Halloween that are not empty, indeed they can be eaten. Not only do they have their own line, but they also provide the Disney pumpkins to the Spanish, French and Dutch market. All of these are packed individually with a manual that explains how to prepare them. The package is personalised and the supply of the pumpkins is according to the necessity of the client.
The company introduced bio products 12 years ago, when this wasn't yet a trend yet. For this reason they had to stop the production. However, in the near future, they’ll introduce organic pumpkins again.
