"China: Chengdu "forever young" carrots exported to Japan"

Japan's BFP Enterprise signed a contract on April 3rd for the export of "forever young" carrots from Yunqiao Village in Chengdu City. This means that after the carrots enter the Hema Fresh Supermarkets in Beijing, they will now be exported to Japan. The carrots from Yunqiao Village have a thousand-year old history. The carrots come up late in spring and the harvest season lasts a long time. Locals call the carrots "forever young". The Ministry of Agriculture awarded these carrots, with Yunqiao Village as the central production area, the national trademark for regional agricultural products. The surface area currently devoted to Yunqiao carrot production is 133 hectares, and the annual production volume is 800 thousand kg.
